![]() ![]() I usually control my 2015 Shield Pro entirely via a Harmony over Bluetooth (with the usual Mac Keyboard/Asus Nexus Player settings). The solution that technically convinces me the most is the one based on the Flirc USB made in the USA in collaboration with Logitech. Either way FLIRC or a bluetooth enabled harmony do the trick anyway. According to the website: The SHIELD TV (2017) only supports Bluetooth and will require a Harmony hub to be controlled properly. It could be that NVidia simply left the chip responsible for the ir handling in there. Everything works fine apart from my Nvidia Shield. I purchased a Logitech Harmony Ultimate One remote today to get rid of some of my remotes. This seems to work well, but the standard Shield remote is limited in buttons. The developers of MythTV have been working on a mythfrontend that works on Android and in particular the Shield TV. Example, screen mask up, down, stop - HTPC power toggle via Velleman relay, Roku power via another Velleman relay and some more.ĪDD: The graphics are not URC, they are my own, some from scratch, some from a combination of online modified with Corel Draw, Greenfish, Corel Presentations and others. Nvidia Shield 2017 + Harmony Ultimate One. Hello, I have a Harmony one, Nvidia Shield, and flirc 2 device. On one device selection I actually several devices because each device only has a few buttons. Nvidia Shield 2017 + Harmony Ultimate One Hi, I purchased a Logitech Harmony Ultimate One remote today to get rid of some of my remotes. I had to create a table so I could keep up with what codes were assigned to what functions. Only the two page turn and the two device/activity/room/ buttons can not be programed.įor the Shield I started with a NEC CD player codes that were used to teach the FLIRC then added a few Shield codes from URC and hex codes from Nvidia site. When you add a device like the Shield you are free to add codes to any button you wish, the codes can be from the URC database, learned, Pronto hex, other devices using the Transporter, etc. ![]() The URC remotes like the MX-5000, MX-980, MX-990 do not treat a device like Harmony does. The IR receiver is used with Shield codes from the URC database and hex codes from the Nvidia site. The FLIRC is programed for the Shield 2nd Gen and a couple of keyboard keys. For the Shield Pro 2019 I use a FLIRC and a Inteset IReTV USB IR Receiver. I only have a little Harmony Hub experience. Do not have a Harmony remote, have URC MX-980 and RF base station.
